South Preschool October

LEAVES

South class is discovering leaves in October. They have been investigating sizes, shapes, colors and textures of leaves on the playground and inside the classroom. Some children even brought us leaves from home! We have been looking at these through our magnifying glasses and making art projects with them. One of our favorite things was to make a poster with leaves glued on from smallest to largest. We are very proud of these. We have learned the names of different shapes of leaves as well as which leaves belong to which trees. We love being able to match real leaves with our metal inset shapes.
